While we'll never quite understand how anyone can resist our super-convenient and affordable pickup service, and the daily availability of our Verona drop off facility, we do understand the efficiency and sheer madcap high energy fun of having an E-Waste Collection Event! Collection Events can divert a large quantity of Electronic Waste from our landfills in a short amount of time. Plus, when you use File 13 for your collection event, none of the E-Waste collected will be shipped to developing nations - it'll be processed right here in the USA by our E-Steward, R2 and ISO certified processor.

Different groups use collection events in different ways:

• Businesses - Offer your employees an extra benefit - Electronics Recycling! At a recent company event we set up in the client's parking lot. Their employees recycled over 11,000 lbs of E-Waste in four hours - and the company picked up the tab. Now that's a good company to work for! Did I mention the cost to the company per employee for this benefit was ridiculously low? It was.
  
• Property Managers -  One of our clients helped us book over 6000 lbs worth of pickups in a single day by offering their tenants a discounted rate in celebration of Earth Day. The best of both worlds - Pickup Service in a Collection Event format - who'da thunk it!?
  
• Environmental & Sustainability Groups - Raise awareness & offer mixed services to the public - a Win/Win situation! At the Middleton Clean & Green Events, the general public is invited to donate books, clothing, household goods, building materials, eyeglasses and other items to various local charities, and our services are offered as well. At this spring's event, File 13 brought in two trucks and a crew, set up two scales and two cash registers, and collected over 17,000 lbs of electronic waste in just over four hours. At the October event in the rain, we collected another 6000+ lbs. Event organizers 'eyeball estimates' of the traffic flow suggests that 60 - 70% of the attendees at all four of these events we've done brought E-Waste to recycle. Most of them also brought donations!
• Church or School Groups and Scout Troops - Imagine hosting a Collection Event for your Group or Troop as a fundraiser. When properly promoted, these events can generate lots of response, as the above examples show. File 13 can bring the trucks, the crew, the scales, the cash register and the know-how. We'll unload the cars, weigh the material and charge the customers, load our trucks and leave a clean site at the end of the day. File 13 then shares with your group a percentage of the revenue generated by the event. Let's say your event generates 10,000 lbs and you keep $0.10/lb - that's a quick $1000 raised in half a day! That should help with those plans you've been putting off!
